Gospel Music Association Canada – 30th Annual Covenant

GMA Canada Update

GMA Week 2020 & The 41st Annual Covenant Awards:

In an effort to understand and successfully navigate the current COVID-19 climate we all find ourselves in, we at GMA Canada desire to support the wellbeing of our members, partners and our entire community as a whole.

Due to the increase in confirmed cases in North America in recent days and weeks—we have decided to transition our GMA Week 2020 activities and the 41st Covenant Awards scheduled for March 20th and 21st, on the Trinity Western University campus, to an online experience. This decision is in keeping with Trinity Western University’s as they transition their campus weekend event to an online immersive experience, which they’re calling, “TWU Live: Bringing Campus to You”.

Trinity Western University initiated this change because as a global university, their Preview Weekend attracts prospective students and families from all over North America, many of whom have expressed travel concerns regarding COVID-19 and the possibility of exposure due to flight connections through places such as Seattle.

Likewise, GMA Canada members would be traveling from across Canada to join at our event and as an advisory board we felt the prudent thing to do was follow lock step with our primary partner.

We understand this announcement is disappointing and we currently working on plans for our online awards presentation which we will advise you about shortly. Full refunds for those who have purchased Covenant Awards Gala tickets will be issued.

Thank you for your understanding.

Kind regards

On behalf of the GMA Canada Advisory Board

Gregory J. Strom

President, GMA Canada
