…Kathrine Weiss started singing at the age of 3 and playing piano at 4 in her hometown of King City, ON. She is an award winning and published songwriter, these credits led her to the “behind the scenes “in the music business. SOCAN, BMI, CMW, NXNE, SXSW and FACTOR were part of her successful foundation. Kathrine is now a judge for The Junos as a CARAS Academy Delegate, she is highly educated in artist development and music management, she understands the importance of great marketing, branding, songwriting, production, and monetizing an artist, these things coupled with the knowledge of copyright, royalties, along with entertainment law and contracts makes Kathrine a powerful artist manager in the music business. She continues learn, more importantly to mentor and advise many in the industry Always keeping her ear to the ground, and staying current, Kathrine is always creating new and exciting opportunities while building great projects with and for those around her.
Gina Pennesi

Gina P (Pennesi), was born and raised in Southwestern Ontario, and relocated to Toronto in 2010, to join the music scene as a vocalist and to take on a new role as strategic advisor.

…R&B, funk, Neo-soul and jazz legends, Gina P’s silky warmth as a vocalist creates feel-good vibes and a memorable experience with her personal touch on crowd-pleasing favourites. Over the last decade, Gina P has been using her soulfully rich-toned voice to entertain and engage Toronto area audiences, accompanied by top area musicians within the R&B, Neo-soul and jazz live music scenes. She is complimented for her harmonies, versatility and range. By day, Gina has over 20 years of experience in the federal public service, spending the past 15 years in roles that provide internal communications, change management, strategic advice, issues management and training. In addition to these roles, Gina has volunteered and chaired employment equity and occupational health and safety committees and has participated in various human rights and advocacy initiatives. In 2016, Gina’s music career expanded into live entertainment production, co-founding Orange Moon Entertainment with artist-producer Lisa Michelle. Since then, she has been co-producing and performing in Neo-Soul and R&B tribute shows, and growing a loyal audience in Toronto. This led to collaborating with QW Productions on a Best of R&B Soul concert series and, subsequently, to joining other talented local producers to form Canadian Black Entertainment; an organization whose vision and mission aligned with that of Collective Music Nation. Gina continues to perform as a solo act in addition to her exciting collaborations with other beloved area musicians. She has recently begun songwriting towards her first EP. Gina’s passion for music and the culture from which that music is born is evident. She enjoys challenging the status quo, spearheading innovation and advocating for inclusiveness in policy and practice. Gina is inspired and motivated to use her expertise to contribute to CMN’s mission and demonstrate her love for the culture and community.
